India is a Religious and Multicultural country. Throughout its huge history, India has sheltered many people with different Dharma Karyamulu.
The Dharma Karyamulu of the Hindujan / Hindulog derive from the Sanskritham Grandhamulu like Upanishad evam Veda Sangraham.
Amazingly, there is no mention of the word 'Hindu' in any of the ancient scriptures. It seems this word 'Hindu' was given by the Muslim Invaders to the people living near the Sindhu Ghati of the Indian Subcontinent.
Henceforth, the people living in the Indian Sub Continent, who carried on the Parampara of performing the Dharma Karyamulu of their ancestors, as mentioned in the Purathana Sanskritham Grandhamulu were called Hindus.
I am hereby giving the Dharma Sikkam for the word Hindu ... which will enable it to appear in the Purathana Sanskritham Grandhamulu from now on.
Hindu Dharma would now be called as Hinduism in Bharathiya Angrezi.
Now, I celebrate Ganesh Chathurthi by performing the relevant Dharma Karyamu, which has been passed on from one generation to another by my Pithrujanaha, and now by my Pithashri to me. Mostly all the Shlokamulu evam Mantramulu in praise of Shri Ganesh are in Sanskritham. I guess all these Shlokamulu evam Mantramulu are part of some of the numerous Purathana Sanskritham Grandhamulu written by our Purathana Pithrujanaha, who were Grandhikulu and/or Dharma Parishodhakulu.

So, since I celebrate Ganesh Chathurthi by performing the Dharma Karyamulu as prescribed by the concerned Dharma Grandhamulu ... I claim myself to be a Hindu Dharmi !
Now one may ask, why should I follow and/perform these Dharma Karyamulu ? There are many reasons for following these, which include:
- These form part of the Parampara which is taught to me by my dad, and I respect the intelligence of our Pithrujanaha who have written these Mananiya Grandhamulu.
- I just like to hear the Ucharanam of the Shlokamulu evam Mantramulu.
- I really adore Shri Ganesh ... particularly because he is a fan of great food like me ! ... and also because I know him 'personally' !
But i wonder sometimes, cant we do away with these methodical Dharma Karyamulu ? Is it not enough to just do a Namaste to Shri Ganesh on Ganesh Chathurthi ? ... I am pretty sure that Shri Ganesh will accept our Namaste, if that Namaste is heartfelt by us.
I am performing the Ganesh Pooja for my own sake! I travel a lot, spend hours in exhausting office environment, have lots of things which require my attention blocking my brain with headache, etc. So when I perform the Ganesh Pooja praising his name, I feel happy ... listening to his Bhajans lightens the environment I am in, I experience bliss and my mind attains peace.

By experience, I know that performing some activities in a methodical manner will help rest the mind. That is why I call our Pithrujanaha who wrote all these Sanskritham Grandhamulu prescribing these Dharma Karyamulu as smart and intelligent. They know what they are prescribing to their subjects, and are well aware of the benefits of such methodical exercises.
I am pretty sure, that followers of different Dharmamulu experience the same bliss and peace of mind, when they perform their Dharma Karyamulu.
So, I would restrain from criticizing the authenticity of such Dharma Karyamulu. It is not for me to judge whether a Dharma Karyam
is right or wrong. I just accept them as peace giving exercises, which
relieve the stress that gets accumulated from worldly dealings.
Jai Shri Ganesh !
Vamsinath.
